Remarks on other specific characteristics of the unit: | The ground falls gently to the southeast and is rocky with small outcrops of limestone pavement. Canopy of mature sessile oak, ash, sycamore and birch with a good understorey of hazel, hawthorn, wild cherry and occasionally holly and elder. Wych elm in the north and west of the compartment. Natural regeneration of ash and sycamore is prevalent. |
