Remarks on other specific characteristics of the unit:20 ha open, diverse native woodland / wood pasture adjacent to recently cleared 70 ha Sitka plantation, managed by light cattle grazing as a complex of native woodland, bog and wood pasture. Oldest wild apples are probably 200 years old; young ones germinate each year.
